Jury begins deliberations in drug smuggling trial

The jury returned with their verdict Monday evening, finding Gurminder Toor guilty of unlawful importation and drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. His wife, Kirandeep Toor, was found guilty of importation and a lesser but included offence of drug possession.

Trial for couple accused of drug smuggling begins

A jury trial has begun for a husband and wife who are accused of trying to smuggle drugs into Alberta more than three years ago. The trial was initially scheduled to run a year ago, but it was cancelled because of the pandemic.
